My friend Emilia was helping out in Kelsey's classroom yesterday and related this story to me. It is just one more reason why I just want to squeeeeze my girl.
"Anyway, I was in the classroom today helping during Writing Workshop. Kelsey came skipping over to the girl I was helping and said enthusiastically to the girl, 'Hi! Do you want to come over on the carpet to work with us?! but you have to promise to be nice. Do you promise? Good.'"
How cute is that?

I wish even adults would skip over to some of their "friends" and ask the same thing and get that response. Kelsey just gets it!!!! I could squeeze her too!!!! Hmmmmm, I think I did that just the other day, lucky grandma!!
