It's a journey

So last night, Tyler actually did rather well with his "broken" plugs. He has two beloved plugs and yesterday afternoon I snipped a little hole in the top of each one. When Doug handed the plugs to Tyler last night at bedtime, he put one in his mouth and then took it out and looked at the plug very confused. Doug told Tyler that the plugs were broken. Tyler tried the other plug and then handed them back to Doug. I wish that was the end of the story, but alas that is not the case. Once he got into his crib, he wanted his plugs back so we gave them to him. We turned out the light and shut the door. There was talking, there was crying, there was yelling. There was even a plug thrown across the room in anger. However, after about an hour and a half there was finally silence. This basically continued all night long, except for a brief encore perfomance around 1:20 am. But that only lasted about 5 minutes. He even slept in a bit this morning. Not bad for his first night "off the plug". However, we still have some work to do because he refused to nap today. One day we will have total success. I just know it.

Good luck, it is hard but keep it up. When he is done take your self to the spa and get a massage and a facial, you deserve it!!
