The Derby

A couple of weeks ago, Dillon entered his very first Pinewood Derby. It was a momentous occasion for my little guy. Well, maybe not, but he sure had fun. Unfortunately Doug and Dillon both had a very busy week leading up to the big race, and so they were still finishing the car right up to the last minute. Despite these obstacles, Dillon was able to pull out a 3rd place win. O.K., granted there were only 4 scouts racing that day, but he didn't care. He was so proud of his car and his win and was overjoyed to recieve a trophy. Next year we're pulling out all the stops and winning big.

I particularly like the storm trooper driving the car. He must be using the force to steer.
