Winter Boredom

What do you do on a cold Saturday afternoon when mom is gone and the TV is off? Well, apparently you build marshmallow shooters. Doug had been talking about these for weeks, and apparently the kids were driving him crazy enough that it was time to pull them out. Doug had cut PVC pipe into all different lengths, added some joint pieces, and voila, marshmallow shooters. I must say that it is a pretty ingenious idea. It kept the kids busy for at least an hour. After they filled our little dining area with marshmallows, it was time to head outside. By the time they were done, the street and the grass were well dotted with marshmallows.

Brent made those a few years ago when all the kids were home for Christmas. Diana said she found marshmallows for months in the basement. They had a lot of fun though!

Yes, it was super fun. We got bags of colored marshmallows, so it was quite a rainbow of a mess! I'm sure Doug and the kids had a blast!

This is a cool idea. My kids would get into it, if they ever got past just eating the marshmallows.
