The other night we were able to go and see the most amazing Christmas train set-up that I have ever seen in anyone's house. This was a full on city with several trains going round and round. Tyler was in absolute heaven. After a while, he was even able to control his little 2 year old impulses and not touch the trains. It was very hard for him and I wondered if he could do it and so I was so proud when he finally settled in to just watch the trains. As if the tree trains were not enough, the entire basement was filled with fantastic toys and a humongous train table. The kids were in heaven. However, when it was time to leave Tyler threw a huge tantrum in the front yard of the house because he didn't want to leave. At which point Kelsey began to loose it because she was so afraid that Doug was going to leave Tyler in the yard. Once Doug was able to get Kelsey calmed down, he turned around and saw Tyler knocking on the front door saying, "Hello, trains?". In order to avoid a repeat tantrum performance, Doug promised the kids a little late night McDonalds. It was a great night.
