Gobble Gobble

Today in Kelsey's class they had a "Feast with Friends". This basically means that they made turkey hats and ate all kinds of treats for snack time. I was fortunate enough to attend this event and to help out a bit and I am so glad I did. If I hadn't been there then I wouldn't have been able to hear the class singing these songs. Seriously, they were hilarious.

Here she is at home with her turkey hat (because I forgot to take my camera to the feast). And here are the words to the songs that the kids sang:

I'm Glad I'm Not a Turkey
Oh, I'm glad I'm not a turkey,
A turkey, a turkey
Oh, I'm glad I'm not a turkey
On Thanksgiving Day.

They stuff you and bake you,
And then they all taste you,
Oh, I'm glad I'm not a turkey
On Thanksgiving Day.

I Eat Turkey
I eat turkey,
I eat turkey,
Yes, I do,
Yes, I do.

Turkey in my tummy,
Yummy, yummy, yummy
Good for me,
Good for you.

I never really thought about it, but after reading that, I'm glad I'm not a turkey!
